Day 1 starts travelling north along the scenic Kennedy Highway viewing spectacular views of the coast line and Coral Sea, before boarding the Daintree river cruise to enjoy Estuarine Crocodiles, mangrove forests and wildlife – nature at its best! The tour continues and ascends the Alexandra Range, pausing for spectacular panoramic views of World Heritage Tropical Rainforest merging with the azure colours of the Coral Sea.
Here the rainforest will be experienced intimately on our elevated National Park Boardwalk, with your accredited guide whilst learning accurate interpretations of flora and fauna and amazing history of this ancient rainforest. This Cape Tribulation Tour then continues beyond Cape Tribulation along the 4WD Bloomfield Track to pristine Emmagen Creek, this is the only operator who goes to this secret location, and you have time to enjoy a refreshing rainforest stream swim, in the heart of World Heritage Rainforest.
On day 2 your journey will continue to Cooktown-The Last Frontier of North Queensland. The Cooktown Tour takes you on the 4WD only Bloomfield Track and allows you to travel over rugged mountain ranges and river crossings. During the day visit the mysterious Black Mountains steeped in Aboriginal legend before arriving mid afternoon in Cooktown. Enjoy 360 degree panoramic views of Cooktown and the Endeavour River from Grassy Hill-another photo opportunity.
The tour concludes on day 3 with free time in Cooktown allowing you to visit the World Class James Cook Museum, stroll along the shores of the Endeavour River, Natures Power House Museum or Cooktown Cemetery which holds a wealth of history from the early explorer days. The tour departs Cooktown in the afternoon via the inland road, Mulligan Highway, the Outback of Far North Queensland and we follow the backbone of Australia, the Great Dividing Range, before your tour comes to a close.
